A Chicora woman has been placed in the Butler County Prison after being accused of assaulting an officer while being taken into custody. The incident took place on Thursday just before 6 p.m. at an apartment on the 300 block of West Cunningham Street. Rogers was then taken into custody, but while being arrested she is accused of kicking an officer several times. Bail for Rogers was set at $5,000 and she was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
