The Police Command in Ondo State says it has arrested a suspected armed robber, recovered a cut-to-size pistol and four live cartridges in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of the state. This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Akure by the command’s Spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh. “During the search, the operatives recovered one cut-to-size pistol and four rounds of live ammunition from his possession. “The suspect was immediately taken into custody while the recovered firearm and ammunition have been secured as exhibits. “We will continue to deploy intelligence, visibility patrols and community-based policing strategies towards maintaining peace and security across the state,” the spokesperson said.
