NET Web DeskThe Assam government has committed an additional ₹100 crore for the development of Guwahati Science City, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced during his visit to the site at Sonapur in Kamrup (Metro) district. The Chief Minister stated that several new features are being added following the centre’s inauguration five months ago, with the entire project expected to be completed by March 2027. The initiative is being jointly implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Assam. Sarma expressed confidence that once completed, Guwahati Science City would stand among the finest in the country. Later, the Chief Minister inspected ‘Zubeen Khetra’ at Komarkuchi in Sonapur, a memorial site dedicated to singer and artiste Zubeen Garg.
