Spotify is introducing “AI Persona” labels for artist profiles that represent identities created by AI. More importantly, Spotify will stop featuring these AI Persona artists in the places where most listeners discover new music. If you actively search for an AI Persona artist and choose to follow them, you can still listen. If AI music starts to overshadow human artists in recommendations, it diverts money away from those who create music for a living. By removing AI Persona artists from this competition, more slots will go to real musicians.
