The real estate development branch of The Walt Disney Company, Storyliving by Disney, has shown a peek into the new entryway to the Asteria planned community. This Storyliving by Disney 1,500-acre themed neighborhood in Pittsboro's Chatham Park and near the Triangle is set to welcome its first residents in 2027. Disney Imagineers, who help design Disney theme parks, crafted the entrance to honor the North Carolina Piedmont. As guests and residents enter Asteria, they will notice the moon gate anchoring the entryway, framing the development and its landscaping. "Across the community, residents will find design details and shared spaces that reflect the natural setting and invite everyday moments of discovery."
