New Zealand dramedy Ms X has been renewed for a second season with NZ On Air investing $3,750,000 with producers Plus6Four Entertainment. The series stars Melissa George as an ordinary kiwi Mum and her recently reunited old high school friend, who unwittingly become key figures in the criminal underworld of Auckland. Written and created by New Zealanders Hannah Marshall (Alibi, Double Parked, The Darkness) and David de Lautour, (The Brokenwood Mysteries, My Life Is Murder, Westside) Ms. X centers on a suburban mum (George) who teams up with an old high school friend to scare her cheating husband into staying faithful. It screens in Australia on Binge and was acquired for the UK and Ireland by Disney+ and by Peacock for the USA.
