Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the development on Monday, noting that one individual was arrested in connection with the case. The operation was executed in coordination by police teams from Cachar and Sribhumi districts, along with Assam Rifles. Acting on intelligence inputs, the teams discovered the contraband concealed inside a secret chamber of a fuel tank at Badarpur Ghat. The seizure marks another significant step in Assam’s ongoing campaign to curb the menace of narcotics in the region.
