Tripura: Three-Day State-Level Training on Social and Behaviour Change for Child Marriage Prevention Begins in Agartala

The training is being held at the State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (SIPARD), Agartala, with the objective of strengthening the capacities of the child protection workforce on Social and Behaviour Change.
The programme seeks to strengthen community-based child protection systems and promote positive behaviours related to child rights and protection across the state.
Dr. Gitali Kakati, Regional Social & Behaviour Change, UNICEF Assam & North East, outlined the objectives of the workshop.
The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Anima Debbarma, State Child Protection Consultant, UNICEF.
The three-day programme is expected to equip frontline stakeholders with practical knowledge and approaches for strengthening community engagement and promoting sustained behavioural change towards the prevention of child marriage in Tripura.
