Saraswati Gao, NET Correspondent, Arunachal PradeshThe Special Action Team (SAT) of Capital Police, Itanagar arrested two suspected drug peddlers during a late-night operation at Chimpu. Acting on specific and credible intelligence, the team recovered 163 grams of suspected heroin with an estimated illicit-market value of approximately ₹20 lakh. During the search, police seized 8 soap cases, 5 tobacco containers and 18 filled plastic vials containing suspected heroin. 334 empty plastic vials and other suspected packaging and distribution materials were also recovered. Special appreciation was extended to Chimpu Youth, Niti Vihar Youth and Ganga Village Youth for their continued cooperation, vigilance and community support.
