PILSEN — Chicagoans can explore the diversity of businesses Pilsen has to offer during a business crawl this weekend organized by a local rapid-response team.
The event on Saturday and Sunday invites neighbors to visit dozens of local businesses, many of them owned by people in the neighborhood.
The crawl is being organized to stimulate the economy and support local businesses that make Pilsen what it is, said Mimi Guiracocha, a leader with PUÑO.
Participating businesses include shops in all of these categories, including nail salons, craft and pet shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bookstores and local street vendors, Guiracocha said.
The business crawl is an opportunity to show a united front among local businesses, which together create a strong, artistic community that makes Pilsen a destination, Girón said.
