NET Web DeskAssam’s young Wushu athlete Diksha Tiwari has brought laurels to the state by winning three medals for India at the Batumi Open International Wushu Championship 2026 in Batumi, Georgia.
Hailing from Naduar in Biswanath district, Diksha delivered an impressive performance in the Taolu events, securing two silver medals and one bronze.
She won silver medals in the Nanquan and Nandao events and added a bronze medal in Nanquan.
Her achievement has sparked celebrations in Biswanath and across Assam, highlighting the growing prominence of the state’s young sporting talent on the international stage.
Diksha’s success is also a testament to her hard work, discipline and determination, along with the support of her parents, Umesh Tiwari and Sabita Bharali Tiwari, who have played an important role in her sporting journey.
