Maersk announced the resumption of an additional container shipping service within its Gemini network through the Red Sea and Suez Canal, marking a gradual return to the region after months of disruption.
The service is operated jointly with German carrier Hapag-Lloyd.
In early July, Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd confirmed the restart of a service linking Asia, the Mediterranean, and Europe via the Suez Canal.
Maersk later announced the resumption of another route connecting the Middle East with the U.S. East Coast.
The latest move signals growing confidence in the gradual reopening of the Red Sea corridor, a vital artery for global trade, as carriers cautiously reintroduce services under enhanced security measures.
