Torquay has suffered a major blow to its Bellarine premiership hopes with Travis Boak to miss the rest of the season. Scans on a knee injury suffered in Saturday’s win over Anglesea have confirmed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. “The injury occurred during the first half when Boaky was tackled and, in typical Boaky fashion, fought to break free. “Knowing Trav, though, something tells me this won’t be the last time we see him pull on the number 5.” A Torquay junior, Boak was drafted by Port Adelaide in 2006 from the Geelong Falcons, where he played a club-record 387 games.
