Shabwa — A convoy carrying Brigadier General Alaa al‑Thani, commander of a Yemeni military brigade, came under fire Tuesday in the coastal district of Rudum, Shabwa governorate, in what officials described as an assassination attempt. According to the brigade’s media center, the incident occurred in front of the health center in Bir Ali city while Brig. Gen.Suleimani was conducting an inspection tour of military sites along the coast. The statement confirmed that the attack did not result in any injuries. The brigade added that its forces immediately launched a security campaign to pursue those responsible for the assault and to restore stability in the area.
