Arabsat and Libya Telecom and Technology, one of Libya’s leading telcos, have signed a strategic partnership agreement. Arabsat said the agreement “marks a significant milestone in strengthening satellite communications and supporting the continued development of Libya’s digital communications infrastructure”. The agreement establishes a long-term strategic collaboration between the two organisations, combining ARABSAT’s advanced satellite infrastructure and extensive regional coverage with LTT’s national telecommunications expertise to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable satellite communications solutions across Libya. Under the agreement, Arabsat will provide High Throughput Satellite (HTS) capacity on Arabsat-6A at 30.5 degrees east to support LTT’s existing and future connectivity requirements. By leveraging their complementary strengths, Arabsat and LTT aim to enhance network resilience, improve service continuity, and accelerate digital transformation, contributing to the sustainable growth of Libya’s communications ecosystem and digital economy.
