Katsina United Football Club has announced the death of its newly signed player, Ozoh Chinedu, following a medical emergency during a pre-season friendly against Niger Tornadoes FC at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina. According to the club, Chinedu became ill during the friendly and was immediately attended to before being rushed to K-Dara Specialist Hospital in Katsina for urgent medical treatment. The death has thrown Katsina United, his teammates, coaches, management, supporters and the wider football community into mourning. Chinedu had recently joined Katsina United and was preparing to contribute to the club’s campaign in the forthcoming season. Katsina United expressed its condolences to Chinedu’s family, teammates, friends and supporters, praying for strength for all those affected by the loss.
