Hyderabad: A XII Additional Court has sentenced a 26-year-old man to life imprisonment for murdering a woman and attempting to kill her daughter in Miyapur in December 2022. According to police, the accused was identified as Yeddu Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Kollur in Guntur district. During the investigation, police found that the complainant's family had shifted to Hyderabad owing to continuous harassment by the accused. The accused learned about Vaibhavi's engagement and allegedly planned to murder both her mother and her. The accused attempted suicide after the attack before being arrested on 23 December 2022, following which a charge sheet was filed.
