Consider some historical elements involving eating food and the resulting consequences.
Through the Bible you find much about eating and drinking — Jacob gave up his birthright for a bowl of lentil stew.
Obviously, we must deal with this vital matter of eating and drinking, but we must do so considering God’s direction and guidance in the process.
In the course of eating, we can actually sustain our lives or we can hasten death by abusing our bodies in eating and drinking.
There is so much more that needs to be said about this process, but I truly believe that the title of this column defines what is happening today — eating suicide.
