The psychedelic surf-rock ‘n’ roll band Igor & Red Elvises — formed in California by mostly Russian musicians — have been coming to play shows in Bend for a couple of decades now. Here’s what they said I wrote:“If you look past the jokes and retro dance moves and whatnot, Red Elvises are a tight combo, totally adept at anything they try, be it surf music, ’50s rockabilly, reggae, doo-wop, lounge-pop, or whatever. Igor & Red Elvises are rock ‘n’ pop polymaths who put on a seriously fun show without taking themselves too seriously.
