The Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessed Wellburn House on Main Road, Ovingham, between May and June and published its findings on July 29. The home, run by Wellburn Care Homes Limited, provides care for older people, including people living with dementia. "People described how staff engaged them and their family members when they moved into the home," the CQC report said. Wellburn Care Homes also told the BBC it 'considers the highlighted breaches to be isolated occurrences that do not reflect the overall standards consistently maintained within the home'. Wellburn Care Homes was contacted for comment.
