Say When Ponteland, which opened at 9 Bell Villas at the beginning of April, has recieved a hygiene rating of 'very good' from the Food Standards Agency following an unprompted inspection on July 20, 2026. Teaming up with ex-Newcastle United assistant manager Jason Tindall, Joe and Ollie Brack, of Brack Brothers fame, have enjoyed a successful start to life at the venue, formerly occupied by YOLO. Across all three key areas - hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety - inspectors rated the bar 'good'. "A 5-star Food Hygiene Rating is something we're really proud to achieve," said head chef and co-owner Ollie. "It's a credit to every member of the team, whose hard work, attention to detail and commitment to high standards make this possible every single day."
