After suffering a huge blow from the EU Commission, Stop Killing Games, a coalition of gamers advocating for game preservation and consumer rights, officially joined a lawsuit in the Netherlands against PlayStation. The Dutch lawsuit targets Sony, claiming the company abuses its market power to make digital games expensive. Stop Killing Games has now publicly backed the Dutch lawsuit, announcing its support for the Fair PlayStation campaign. The video explains that Sony has a monopoly on digital PlayStation games. Stop Killing Games calls this a form of “Sony Tax” and says “it is against the law”.
