(Courtesy Photo)The boys and girls varsity cross country teams for Victoria West got the season underway this past Saturday with the VISD Relay at Riverside Park. Though senior Ben Hamilton did not participate in Saturday’s event, he is among West’s top runners heading into the 2026 season. Aside from Hamilton, Stoltenberg said filling out the rest of the boys varsity unit will be a hotly contested battle. On the girls team, returning juniors Natasza Jarosz and Taylor Lincecum lead a young team that does not have a senior on the roster.
