"The previous Retail use (A1) and the day nursery use now fall under the new use class." The decision comes after a separate planning battle over the future of the site last year. The latest decision does not approve those redevelopment plans but instead confirms the existing building's potential use as a nursery. The site sits within the Carshalton Village Conservation Area and the Carshalton District Centre and is located within the primary shopping frontage area of the High Street.
