AWS simplifies network security with native firewall proxy integration

Amazon Web Services (AWS) re-launched its Network Firewall proxy following user feedback about having to manage another separate product.
That meant users would have to manage a separate proxy product with its own security policy model.
Following customer “feedback,” however, the hyperscaler has changed tack, instead providing the offering as a native capability within AWS Network Firewall.
The cloud giant’s Network Firewall line now features a deployment mode called "no-source-preservation" that lets users apply a single unified security policy, “even from networks with overlapping classless inter-domain routing (CIDRs).”
… With this change, the explicit proxy inherits everything Network Firewall already offers and you can use the same security policy, and even the same firewall, for both transparent firewalling and explicit proxying,” the pair wrote.
