Essex & Suffolk Water (ESW) has confirmed that a "burst water main" has been reported in Lower Bedfords Road this morning (August 9). A post on the water service's Facebook page reads: "To allow us to safely and quickly carry out a full repair, temporary two-way traffic lights will be in place and will remain in place while the team carries out the repair and reinstate the road surface. "There is currently no impact to customers' water supplies, although some nearby customers may notice lower pressure or brief interruptions while work is carried out. "We apologies to customer and road users for any inconvenience this may cause, our teams will work as quickly as possible to keep disruption to a minimum."
