Hyderabad: Revenue Secretary DS Lokesh Kumar has stated that every mistake in land records will be corrected through the ongoing land re-survey, expressing confidence that the exercise will be completed within the stipulated deadline. Speaking to The Hans India, DS Lokesh Kumar said that encroachments on private properties will be detected and boundaries will be accurately fixed by determining precise latitudes and longitudes. Of this total, 25 lakh acres comprise assigned lands, 66 lakh acres are forest lands, and about 13 to 14 lakh acres are occupied by irrigation projects, roads, schools, colleges, and other government establishments. However, approximately 65,000 acres of land remain under dispute, and DS Lokesh Kumar emphasized that the re-survey will provide a clear, unambiguous picture regarding these properties. DS Lokesh Kumar affirmed that the re-survey will be completed within the timeframe mandated by the government.
