BMS’s new Texas manufacturing facility will produce small molecules, biologics and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), the company says. Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) has chosen Texas as the home to its new $2.3bn manufacturing facility – marking another significant investment into the state as the Trump administration’s onshoring push continues. By building this digitally enabled facility, BMS will create nearly 500 skilled jobs, as well as around 2,000 construction and indirect roles during its erection. Texas as an emerging hub for biopharmaBMS makes its first in-house manufacturing foray into the state of Texas as global players increasingly recognise the state as a new hub for biopharma R&D and manufacturing. This $2.3bn investment will expand BMS’ connections to the state, as the company already works with a contract manufacturer clinical and commercial production company based in Texas.
