Motoring provider Halfords has teamed up with MoneySuperMarket to help encourage motorists to feel more confident carrying out car maintenance. The tool offers step-by-step guidance for basic vehicle fixes, helping drivers decide when they can handle a job themselves and when it’s safer to seek professional help. "Simple jobs like checking your oil, or correcting your tyre pressure take minutes and will save your wallet. Despite low confidence, 58.5% of respondents said they would feel more independent if they could manage basic car issues themselves. It can give advice on changing a tyre, jump-starting a car, replacing a windscreen wiper blade and much more.
