['Jamie Ross']
Press and Journal
An Aberdeen man who had a meat cleaver in public claims he found it in a bag outside of the home of the person he was feuding with, a court has been told.
Scott Morrison appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court, where he explained his excuse for being caught with the weapon on CCTV.
The lawyer for the 41-year-old, who appeared from custody, claimed his client wanted to have words with the other man without a knife.
Mr Morrison was seen at that time to be in possession of a meat cleaver.”
Tony Burgess, representing Morrison, said his client – a dad-of-two – had gone to visit a man who was a court “regular”.
