The refurbishment of the Sheep Street clock in Bicester was originally due to be completed by the end of July. However, significant rust damage has been discovered at the base of the 30-year-old structure during the cleaning and preparation process. Mr Holland said: "During cleaning and preparation works, significant rust damage at the base of the clock was discovered. Bryonie Wells, a Cherwell District councillor for Bicester East, has a personal connection to the clock as her grandfather, Clive, helped build and install it.
