The Argyle Square Gardens court in Camden will be revamped through a collaboration between Camden Council, the Greater London Authority (GLA), NBA star OG Anunoby, and the NBPA Foundation. A pilot project under the Mayor of London’s London Basketball Taskforce, the scheme aims to develop a grassroots hub for the sport in the heart of the city. Cllr Sagal Abdi-Wali, leader of Camden Council, said: "Argyle Square Basketball Court has the potential to be a renowned basketball hub not just for Camden but also for London, as one of the most central courts in the capital. The site is one of the few basketball courts in central London and currently serves as a training ground for the Argyle Kings, a basketball community group focused on developing local talent. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said: "Through my Basketball Taskforce and our partnership with the NBA, we’re improving opportunities for young Londoners and ensuring basketball can thrive in every part of our city."
