JPMorgan Chase plans to maintain a strong hiring pace across Asia Pacific in 2027 as rapid growth in corporate banking, artificial intelligence investment and cross-border business activity boosts demand for its financial services.
The U.S. banking giant is nearing completion of an approximately 15% expansion of its Asia-Pacific corporate banking workforce in 2026, following a 20% increase in staff during 2025.
Recruitment will span multiple areas of JPMorgan’s corporate banking operations, including teams serving mid-sized and large corporations, financial institutions, non-bank financial companies and businesses in the innovation economy.
The expansion comes as JPMorgan’s Asia-Pacific corporate banking revenue has risen by well over 20% year-to-date.
By combining additional hiring with investments in AI, data centre, supply chain and trade finance opportunities, JPMorgan is positioning its Asia-Pacific corporate banking business for further growth in 2027.
