Woman taken to major trauma centre after crash closes busy road near Sidcup

Emergency services were called just before 3pm today (August 10), to reports of a collision on Westhorne Avenue at the junction with Burnt Ash Hill, near Sidcup.
The incident forced the closure of Westhorne Avenue eastbound while emergency services responded, causing significant traffic disruption in the area.
Motorists were advised to allow extra time for their journeys while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.53pm today (10 August) to reports of a road traffic collision on Westhorne Avenue, SE12.
"We sent ambulance crews to the scene and treated a woman before taking her to a major trauma centre as a priority."
