Interior designer and television personality Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has spoken about the growing number of high-profile residents in the region, including Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham. "[The Cotswolds] is definitely feeling like a much more sophisticated, much more elegant, slightly fancier place than it used to," he said. "The Beckhams and the Cowells and Ellen DeGeneres and all of those very shiny people live at the kind of the Oxfordshire-end. Mr Llewelyn-Bowen said he considers the southern part of the region a less celebrity-focused area. He added that the area around Cirencester tends to draw more low-key famous faces, citing singer Sade as one of its most discreet residents.
