Comcast Business and Colt Technology will work through the former’s recently instantiated Innovation Lab environment on developing API-driven interoperability across their networks and service platforms. The integration will connect Comcast Business’ digital orchestration platform that exposes network capabilities as “programmable, standards-based services” with Colt’s international network. That work is specifically highlighted as Comcast Business’ effort with Colt is the first to be conducted with an international carrier through the Innovation Lab setting. “By linking our platforms through open, standards-based APIs, Colt and Comcast Business are removing complexity, streamlining procurement and service management, and creating an ‘easy button’ for global connectivity. Comcast Business unveiled its Innovation Lab earlier this year with a focus on providing a dedicated environment to develop, test, and scale enterprise-focused services.
