Clown and performer Zoe Wohlfeld is behind the event, which has been inspired by her Edinburgh Fringe show Dog Funeral. Performers from more than 30 Edinburgh Fringe shows, alongside members of the public, will join the procession as it makes its way through the city before ending at the Greyfriars Bobby statue. The procession will feature music, theatrical performances and a special guest officiating the service. Zoe Wohlfeld said: "I don't know what people mean by 'performative grief'.
