Reacher: Season 4
['Ben Lyons', 'Series. Written', 'News. Written']
Gamereactor UK
The first season was an above average offering, perhaps due to the rose-tinted appeal of finally having a more authentic Reacher representation following Tom Cruise's past adaptation of author Lee Child's works.
Needless to say, I went into this latest season of Reacher with a bit of scepticism.
From here, the basis of the season also shifts away from this detective setup to be more akin to Season 2's all-out action, as we see Reacher cracking skulls, taking punishment himself, and just generally being an atypical action hero despite the world being out to get him.
Considering what we saw in Season 3 with Oliver Richters' enormous giant Paulie, it would be hard to go above and beyond with a similar threat in Season 4.
There's enough here to keep you thrilled and engaged, and I would argue Season 4 is the second-best season of Reacher we've had yet, but this latest batch of episodes isn't rewriting the script of what we have come to expect from Reacher leaving my prior fears in-tact a tad.
