A Swedish film exploring freedom of expression, public demonstrations and the role of police in protecting democratic rights has been screened in Hong Kong as part of this year’s film festival programme.
Swedish documentary The Dialogue Police was screened at Broadway Cinematheque in Hong Kong as part of the fifth annual EU-Asia Documentary Festival.
The film follows a specialised Swedish police unit tasked with facilitating dialogue during public demonstrations and protecting the right to freedom of expression.
The EU-Asia Documentary Festival ran from July 22 to August 9 and featured 17 European and Asian documentaries.
The festival was organised by the EU Office to Hong Kong and Macao in partnership with Broadway Cinematheque.
