The Denver Quaker congregation, Mountain View Friends Meeting, is also sponsoring a training with Flanagan to build nonviolent skills for these times. Boulder Bookstore will host Flanagan to speak about lessons from the climate movement explored in her book, Common Ground: How the Crisis of the Earth is Saving Us from Our Illusion of Separation. Eileen Flanagan was the Training Coordinator of Choose Democracy, which in 2020 predicted increased election-related violence and trained 10,000 people in nonviolent strategies to combat a coup attempt.
