EIC Alyse Thompson-Richards recaps some recent plant openings and expansions in the food and beverage industry, including Mars’ investment in its iconic English factory, Idaho Milk Products’ new ice cream and powder blending plant, Sunrise Farms’ new poultry processing facility, SunOpta’s fruit snack line expansion, Anheuser-Busch’s brewery investment and Winland Foods’ pasta plant expansion. The investment will introduce state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities, combining robotics and AI with upgraded machinery, as well as advanced cooling systems and energy-efficient utilities, to improve performance and sustainability across the site.
