We jumped on a call with the film’s director, Casey Carter, to talk about the film and its local impact. Some years before I began the film, I was doing some research for another project, looking into Yucca Mountain. Jamie: I’m sure you know Coloradans would not be able to think about nuclear waste deposits without thinking about Rocky Flats here. Rocky Flats was shut down after raids by the FBI and the EPA because the Department of Energy was negligent when it comes to certain health issues with the workers at the plant.
