The Arab Satellite Communications Organization (ARABSAT) and Libya Telecom and Technology (LTT) have signed a strategic partnership Agreement aimed at strengthening satellite communications and supporting the development of Libya’s digital infrastructure. Under the agreement, ARABSAT will provide High Throughput Satellite capacity on Arabsat-6A at 30.5 degrees east to support LTT’s existing and future connectivity requirements. He further noted that investing in satellite infrastructure and building long-term strategic partnerships are fundamental to enabling sustainable development and strengthening the digital economy. A Broader Push for Digital ResilienceThe agreement sits within a broader context of growing demand for resilient, secure, and high-capacity communications across Libya. As the country continues to develop its digital infrastructure, satellite technology is playing an increasingly central role in ensuring national connectivity, business continuity, and service delivery to government entities, enterprises, and critical industries.
