Woodstock throws its premier outdoor music venue open for a night of reggae marking 45 years of the genre’s local run and Jamaican independence. The scene traces to 1981, when promoter Leah Boss booked the town’s first reggae show and became its longtime champion, later hosting Jimmy Cliff, Steel Pulse and Black Uhuru. Massachusetts’s Dis N Dat Band, featuring former Black Uhuru drummer Rangotan, headlines with Marley tribute act IAnbassa Roots Rock Reality Band. There will be Jamaican food, craft vendors and a firepit.
