NATIONAL Coloured Congress (NCC) leader and MP Fadiel Adams’s explosive testimony at the Madlanga Commission is expected to be delayed and postponed at Tuesday’s hearings. The evidence leaders only received Adams’s affidavit and related annexures after 9pm on Monday, according to the Commission. Adams’s appearance has attracted significant public interest, with questions expected over his alleged access to Westville Prison, Crime Intelligence information, alleged secret “slush funds” and his dealings with police investigators. Investigators allege Adams used information and recordings obtained from prisoners to implicate senior police officials, including Crime Intelligence boss Dumisani Khumalo. Last month, Idac State Advocate Drushantha Ramsamy told the commission that Adams should have faced charges for allegedly possessing Crime Intelligence information.
