Kroger settled a wrongful death suit involving a former worker, Law Commentary reports.
Evan Seyfried, a dairy manager with a 19-year career at the Cincinnati-based grocer, took his own life on March 9, 2021.
His family sued Kroger and two store managers in July 2021, accusing the grocer of mental abuse.
Kroger employees also made political taunts and threats and attempted to undermine Seyfried’s performance, according to court documents.
The family sued Kroger for wrongful death, intentional infliction of emotional distress, sexual harassment, retaliation and constructive discharge, among other charges.
