Another fatal traffic incident was reported on Wednesday evening. From Mellette County Sheriff's Office - On August 5th at approximately 6:15 PM, the Mellette County Sheriff's Office received a report of a vehicle rollover approximately two miles north of Corn Creek in Mellette County. The Mellette County Sheriff's Office extends its gratitude to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Rosebud Police Department, Oglala Department of Public Safety, Rosebud EMS, and Norris Volunteer Fire for their assistance at the scene. This is the second fatal incident on our roadways in recent weeks. We urge everyone traveling through Mellette County to slow down, stay alert, and look out for one another.
