STORMERS XXIII assistant coach Sentle Lehoko has insisted the squad remain energised and united as they look to put their heartbreak against the Cheetahs behind them and embrace their next Currie Cup challenge against the Pumas in Nelspruit.
Addressing the media following Sunday's frustrating loss at Athlone Stadium, Lehoko paid tribute to the faithful Kaapse supporters while stressing that the coaching staff remain proud of the players’ effort and fighting spirit.
With new rules giving extra power to the rolling maul, Lehoko revealed that their forwards coach Helmut Lehmann has been placing groot emphasis on neutralising the home team’s set-piece threat.
He added: “Our forwards coach Helmut Lehmann is incredible and spends a lot of time making sure we are ready to stop that threat.
We know it a big part of their game and how important it’s going to be for us to be locked in and ready to stop their maul threat.”
