The film will have its world premiere on Wednesday, September 2, at the Venice International Film Festival. An Irish and UK theatrical release date has been set for Danny Boyle's INK, with cinemas opening on Friday, January 8, 2027. Australian actor Guy Pearce stars as Murdoch, while Jack O'Connell plays The Sun's first editor, Larry Lamb. Academy and BAFTA award-winning Danny Boyle (28 Days Later, Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire) directs INK. He previously explored the life of another influential business figure with 2015's Steve Jobs, starring Michael Fassbender as the Apple co-founder.
