Francisco Correa Cordero. Courtesy Lubov, New YorkFrancisco Correa Cordero, who founded New York’s Lubov gallery, has died. The gallery, which Cordero opened in Chinatown in 2017, represented a small group of artists, but has staged shows with many more. Painter Kane Huynh is due to have an exhibition at the gallery in the Autumn. Born in Mexico, Cordero came to the US to study photography at the School of Visual Arts, taking jobs and organising shows at Yancey Richardson Gallery, Martos Gallery, Aperture, Humble Arts Foundation, the Richard Avedon Foundation and Exit Art.
